Call for Applications
The "Gender and Diversity" Paper Development Workshop is a pre-Colloquium activity that aims
to help scholars develop their papers in close interaction with leading researchers in the field. In addition to sub-theme
04 of the main Colloquium, this workshop offers an arena for scholars sharing an interest in the field of "Gender and Diversity"
to develop their ideas towards publishable research articles. However, more than in the regular sub-theme 04, the focus will
be on small group interaction and pragmatic issues related to publishing. The workshop is open to all scholars though preference
will be given to PhD students and early career researchers.
Accepted papers will be briefly presented and thoroughly discussed in Round Tables sessions with leading scholars in the field. All participants are expected to have read the papers of their fellow session presenters and be ready to contribute to their discussion.
The workshop will take place on Wednesday, July 2, 2014, 09:00am–14:00pm.
All scholars interested in developing their papers towards publishable articles are invited to apply. However, preference will be given to the PhD and early career scholars. To be considered as an early career scholar the applicant needs to have completed her/his doctoral thesis within the last three years.
Please submit – via the EGOS website! – a single document of application (.doc, .docx or .pdf file) that includes:
- On the first page: a short letter of application containing full details of name, address (postal address, phone and email), affiliation (date of PhD completion for early career scholars), a statement of why the applicant considers it valuable to attend this PDW as well as an indication of what journal(s) the paper is likely to be submitted to.
- A full draft paper that is to be developed to a publishable stage.
